How to Factory Reset Samsung Galaxy S10 using Recovery Mode option (using buttons) method
This is the best and mostly used method to reset a Samsung S10. Because you do not need access to a computer or internet to proceed. Also useful if you have issues with the USB connectivity.
Therefore, this is the recommended way to reset your Samsung S10. You have to put your phone into recovery mode first. Follow these steps:
- Press and hold the power button to turn off your phone
- Now press and hold the volume up and Bixby Buttons
- While holding those two buttons, press and hold the power button

The button sequence is different for different models. For devices having a home button (mostly old model galaxy devices) you have to press and hold the home button, volume down button, and power button to boot it into recovery mode. Once in recovery mode, rest is the same for all devices.
How to Hard Factory Reset Samsung S10 ?
If the volume keys or Bixby not working anymore and you not able to use all the buttons method, but still need to remove the screen password or pattern. Well, you still got solutions using following:
Android device manager
Android device manager is a feature that helps you locate, and if needed remotely lock or wipe your Android device if your phone got stolen or you happen to loose your phone. Or else to wipe all passwords and patterns. You will need your Google account details.
Factory Reset Samsung Galaxy S10 using “Find My Mobile “method
You can also reset your Samsung S10 remotely using “Find My Mobile” feature. You will need an account to do this and you need to be logged in to it. Alternatively, you can also login using a Google account.
Samsung S10 “Find My Mobile” has many useful features, such as track your phone’s location, lock your phone remotely, backup on cloud, play a sound if you lost phone in known location, or reset option to go back to factory settings.
Make sure your Samsung phone is turned on and has an active internet connection available. Then follow the steps:
- Open https://findmymobile.samsung.com/ on your PC or in any other available device and log in using your Samsung account password
You will see your Samsung Galaxy S10 on the right side of the screen with all available options.
Click on Erase data. Next screen will ask for confirmation in a dialog box. Just click on “Erase”
Now wait few minutes for the process to be completed. Once done, your device will reboot and you can setup without any password now.
How to Unlock Samsung Galaxy S10 Without Password method
If you do not want to reset your mobile and only, want to unlock it because you have forgotten the password. Then you can use the “Unlock” option in Samsung Find My Mobile. It deletes all lock screen information including password, PIN, Pattern, and Biometrics but prevents losing data.
- Login to https://findmymobile.samsung.com/ and choose your mobile
- Click on Unlock. (Your mobile must be turned on and connected to the internet)
- New popup will be shown asking for your confirmation to proceed with the Unlock process. Just click on “Unlock”
It will take a few minutes, after that your Samsung S10 will be unlocked remotely.
How to Hard Factory Reset Samsung S10 using Google Find My Device?
You can use the Google maps method to reset your device if you are logged in with a google account. You don’t need the physical access to your device, as you can do it remotely using a browser and an active internet connection.
- Open https://www.google.com/android/find and login with your Google account
- A new window will be opened, containing information about your device with many options
- Click on “Erase Device” option
- A popup will appear asking your permission to permanently erase all contents of the device. Click “Erase” again
This will take a few minutes and will result in deleting all content from your Samsung S10. Once Samsung S10 reboots, you can start fresh.
You can also reset your Samsung S10 using your third party application. The application that I am going to use is 4uKey. It can wipe lock screen credentials like passwords, PIN and patterns.
Factory Reset Samsung Galaxy S10 using 4uKey
You need a Windows or Mac PC to install and run this software. This tool needs access to the device, so you have to connect your device to your computer using an USB cable. Download 4uKEy from here. Follow these steps:
Open 4uKey for Android on your PC
- Connect your mobile to your PC using a USB cable and click on Remove Screen Lock
- Click on Yes when it asks you to confirm erasing your device
It will take a few minutes. Once done, you will see android recovery screen, enter recovery mode to reboot your device. Once it reboots, you can start to setup your Samsung S10.
If you have turned on Find My Mobile option in your Samsung device, then after reset you have to provide an email address and password to activate your mobile. Nevertheless, in case if you have forgotten the email and password then you can use 4uKey to bypass it.
- Connect your device to your computer and open 4uKey
- Click on Remove Google Lock (FRP)
After confirmation, the removal process will start. As soon as the process is completed, your Samsung S10 will reboot. (If it did not reboot then you can use recovery option and click on reboot device now).
Now you can activate your Samsung S10 without using any email or password.
